Jez Conolly is the author of The Thing and co-author of Dead of Night in the Liverpool University Press ‘Devil’s Advocates’ book series, and also co-author of Seconds in LUP’s ‘Constellations’ series. He has co-edited three books in the ‘World Film Locations’ series (covering Dublin, Reykjavik and Liverpool) published by Intellect. He has also contributed chapters to The Routledge Companion to Folk Horror, Horrifying Children: Hauntology and the Legacy of Children’s Television published by Bloomsbury and Midnight Movie Monographs: Bride of Frankenstein from PS Publishing. His essay on The Thing appeared in volume three of the Scarred for Life book series. Jez is a regular contributor to Beneficial Shock! magazine and the journal Undefined Boundary. His autoethographic volume Capture Spiral: An Escape From Memory is due late 2025. Jez is also a horror fiction writer.
